I had an idea to incorporate black powder, more specifically the engineering behind the firing mechanism, into Tweaker's background.

Black powder weapons are still very rare on Golarion, mainly being produced on a small scale by rogue guilds who have somehow managed to lay their hands on the technology.

Ole Cap'n Trafphet here just so happened to have had the good fortune (ie. stole) a prototype firing mechanism and small amount of black powder with the aim of either selling the patent for a lucrative profit or producing himself a working replica of the hand pistol's he had witnessed being designed.

Now on the run...with maybe a price on his swarthy bald head, he secrets the components on his person in the hope of one day achieving his goal.

There is a investment into using a firearm including picking up the Gunsmithing feat just so you understand what the hell your dealing with as you need it as a prerequisite for exotic weapon proficiency (1 handed firearm).

If I go down this path over a few levels and with enough GP behind me I might be able to create a working prototype!

But it adds to the flavour so why not!

Absolutely mate, I like the concept and I am both interested and filled with trepidation as to where he will hide it on his person so as not to lose it during a .... Body search !!!!!!

Like the background concept too!

The more unique and creative background the better

Just noticed this was scheduled for release in July.

I will definitely be picking up the hardcover version of what is an excellent campaign series.

Having it converted to the Pathfinder Rules will make it so much easier to run as opposed to the work required with the original edition.

A few other interesting hardcover books on the horizon as well.

Poor old Tweaker had the shit punched out of him about 5 times last night following a heavy night of drinking in the Formidably Maid Tavern.

Pressed into service on a dodgy vessel named the Wormwood it took all of 10 minutes before someone was belting into the little guy...apparently you have to be mute to succeed in the pirate game!

Got flogged unconscious whilst tied to the mainmast....
Was king hit by an associate for hitting on his girl....
Cheated a bunch of lowlifes at dice with a god bothering man of the cloth as an accomplice....
Watched that same god botherer get flogged for being utterly useless...
Got flogged again for being stupid!...
Body slammed a couple of Dire Rats and fastened half a dozen of their smaller cousins with me luxurious chest hairs whilst on rat catching duties....
Got punched again several times after slamming a fellow sailors head into a glass covered barrel top....
Got punched again into unconsciousness for charging some manky dog who was taunting me...
Made more enemies than you can poke a stick at
Had a few rums...

Good times!

We all enjoyed the rich aroma of sweaty b@##s that Tweaker brought to the game on Saturday. Now if he can only survive both the NPC's and his fellow crew (The other PC's) then we will have sum fun ......

"We'll hard work puts a smelly sheen on this here dwarf and seeing as I was doing the bulk of it I have little sympathy if me comrades had to endure a little...odourous discomfort"

"You try getting around on hands and knees scrubbing the decks (in a freakin kilt no less  ) and I bet your odour at the end of the day is the least of your worries lad!"

"Least I know one end of a boat from the other which is more than I can say about that damn crazy preacher...must have seen him run head first into the mainmast on three occasions the poor fool!"

Heard his head crack whilst down in the bilges for the love of Bessie...pity the flock that he shepherds!

Still working out a suitable dwarven accent....tried the stereotypical Scottish twang but have a feeling a Jamie Oliver take may prove more annoying and in tune with the character :w00t:

I want to start counting the number of accents out of both you and Chris ...... I am sure we are up to 5 or 6 in the space of one session

Yup. That's about it. :P

Behold! For I saw him rise out the x-trail!
And upon his face was the mighty beard of knowledge. And
from the boot and backseat of his car did he
produce the multitude of wargames crafted by the hand of
man. And lo his knowledge of all of them was mighty.
