Dark Heresy?

Postby ClockworkLemon » Wed Oct 07, 2009 1:44 pm

I've been thinking of acquiring the Dark Heresy RPG, simply because I like the 40k background. I'd planned on using it to enhance our Inquisitor campaign a bit, but it occurred to me that as I was going to be forking out a fair bit of money for it, that it might be worthwhile seeing if anyone in the club was keen to try it out.

So, who's interested?

Well, the Inquisitor campaign is an ongoing thing, which is going to be running well into next year (hopefully...). I was thinking that Dark Heresy would be better done away from the club, on a Friday night/Saturday/whatever.

Ahk, well in that case I may not be keen, but I'll watch this thread in any case! I gather that it is a similar system to D&D?

I can't actually remember. I did have a look at it when it was first released, but didn't really pay much attention to the game mechanics.

Well, I received an email today informing me that my copy of Dark Heresy was shipped today on an overnight service, meaning that I should have it tomorrow, or Thursday at the latest. That means I will, of course, be bringing it in on Thursday night...

Well, we're still planning at this stage, but it's looking likely that we'll be starting in January. The plan was to stick with 4 players, but I can't see a problem with adding another. I'm trying to get everyone's characters rolled up over the next month, so that we can jump straight into playing next year.

Well, now that Descent is finished, it's time to get ready for Dark Heresy. The plan was to start in the new year, and having just looked at my calendar for January, the only Saturday that I'm free is the 7th. So, is the 7th cool, or should we make a start in February?

The 7th of January is a Wednesday?

If you meant the 9th, I'm not available (paintballing!).

Would we be having this at Darren's place?

Ah, whoops, that'll learn me not to check the calendar before I post stuff...

So, anyway, if Daniel isn't available on the 9th of Jan, then we'll need to hold off until the 6th of February, which is my next free Saturday...

Cool, 6th of February it is.

This will give me some time to organise a 28mm model and paint it!

In the meanwhile, for those of us who have already organised our characters, is there anything else you need?
