Remember the Alamo

Postby Xerxes » Fri May 16, 2014 6:21 pm

I am building a 28mm scale model of the Alamo for a game.

Image

I hope to design the game as a 2 to 7 player game. The 2 player version 1 Texan player 1 Mexican, up to a 5-6 player version with 2-3 Texans and 3 to 4 Mexican players.

The Model Scale will be 1 Texan model represents 2.5 men in real life so 74 to 100 Texan models plus cannons. The Mexicans scale is 1 to 15 so 360 Mexicans. Numbers can be scaled down for the 2 player version of the game.

The idea with more than 2 players will be the Mexicans compete with each other to achieve various victory points, likewise the Texans will also compete with each other to see how many Mexicans they can kill.

The Mexican uniforms look very similar to Napoleonic French one's.

So I am looking for people to play test it when completed, hopefully it will fit nicely on a 6 x 4 table at the Launceston Club.

Coolies Daniel 1 taker already.

The Texans are almost completed with 3 heroes including Colonel Travis, Davey Crocket and Jim Bowie.

Mexicans 3 units of 20 so far with another 2 x 20 (40) close to completion.

The board has been started with a sketch of the outline of the Alamo's main compound done.

Ye my dilemma was what scale to use it will struggle to fit on a 6 x 4 table unfortunately.
