The people to talk to are Jeff T and Dave T at the club... or maybe Sam Dean if he is there

If one isn't on the books, I'm sure no-one has any objections to you making one.

sweet Very Happy Not sure how prize money would work but i was thinking a 1500 points tourny over a few thursday nights if we can get enough players. something like $10 entry and top 3 get a prize. Most likely a Tiger Models voucher to spend on GW stuff. or even just cash.

If you do decide to start a tourney, I would recommend doing more towards 800-1200pts, due to some people dont have enough and it for some people it takes too long, smaller battles means you can fit two games in per night, getting it done faster before some people lose interest (*hint* Joker *hint*).

Just my experience from past tourneys. I would also draw up a proper roster of who plays who, so people turn up knowing who they are playing.

Just a thought Very Happy

Only problems with running a thursday night tourney are peoples other commitments i.e. inquisitor, campaigns, bloodbowl etc. it can be hard to get a roster going. Additionally many people do not want their entire gaming month to be taken up with one event

Over a few months could work yeah. Perhaps 1000? Not too big not too small really. I know alot of the previous ones were 750, its a nice little force that produces speedy games to be sure but it's just too constricting i think.

I was going to set up a tourny board with all the names of who plays who and have a knock out system to eventually lead to a final. I certainly understand players have other gaming commitments so perhaps over a few months will work. that way i can post results on here and everyone can follow it Very Happy

Will Forge World lists be allowed?

Only viable force I have up and running at this time is my Tarran 1st Armoured Company, it's exactly 1,000pts.

I've never seen one myself. May i have a look at it first? Usually i'd say no on a flat out FW generated list but i'm pretty curious.

Abridged Version: Picture off board artillery, tanks with more upgrades than it has space and weapons that make big things into brownish red gloop or a crater...

Just from past experience, I'd suggest you run a 1-2 day tournament outside from cub time. As people have mentioned people tend to not like putting all hobby time into one system and if you run it over several months you are likely to have people forgetting their lists, not showing up or arranging something else for that night...

See if you can organise a hall or something for a day or two and you'll have a additional gaming event people can attend if they want, rather than a choice of this or that.
